Greatest Hits is a compilation album by the British rock band Queen, released worldwide on 26 October 1981.[1] The album consisted of Queen's biggest hits since their first chart appearance in 1974 with "Seven Seas of Rhye", up to their 1980 hit "Flash" (though in some countries "Under Pressure", the band's 1981 chart-topper with David Bowie, was included). There was no universal track listing or cover art for the album, and each territory's tracks were dependent on what singles had been released there and which were successful. In 1992, the US version of the album Classic Queen was released following the band's rekindled popularity in the nation.[2]

We think the DreamCloud hits the sweet spot for most sleepers who weigh more than 130 poundsThis is especially true for side sleepers because the plush surface cushions pressure-sensitive areas without too much sinkage.

A hive that is too complicated willnever come into general use. Competitionin the honey business requiresthat we use the cheapest appliances, combined with the greatest excellences. Here in this state (California)where honey is so cheap, it wouldbe folly to spend $8.00 for a bee-hive,because a $1.50 hive will answerevery purpose equally as well, thehive does not make any difference inthe amount of honey gathered, beeswill store as much honey in a boxhive as in any frame hive ever devised;the queen and race of beesmake the difference in the amount ofsurplus gathered. The simplicityhive, with its various modifications,is the hive that gives the best satisfactionamong advanced apiarists, andwhen used with the Hoffman framesit is hard to beat. To persons who38contemplate starting out-apiaries, theHoffman frame offers very superioradvantages. My opinion is, that bee-keeperswho keep out-apiaries, andwho move bees considerably, will intime settle down to the fixed frame.I shall no doubt experiment considerablywith fixed frames the next fewseasons.

In an apiary composed of Italianand hybrids if a Carinolan queen beintroduced and the Carinolans thenbe left to reproduce themselves naturallythey will hold their own forhundreds of generations before theirmarkings will begin to be eliminated.Place a colony of Carinolans in an isolatedlocation, and allow naturalbreeding, and in ten years they willnot deteriorate a single bit; but take acolony of Italians, and allow naturalbreeding and in a year or two wehave nothing but common black, orvery poor hybrid bees; thus provingconclusively that the Italians are nota fixed race.

Ed. Am. Bee-Keeper, Dear Sir:I inclose herewith 50 cents for renewalto the Bee-Keeper, and in amonth or so you will receive a littleorder for supplies from me, but I wishto find out first what I need. Thereis a lot of reading in the AmericanBee-Keeper for beginners, but thereare so many different ideas given thatthe beginner must have a big headindeed to remember them. I willtake the liberty to tell you how I began. It was a year ago about Christ Christmaswhen I resolved to keep bees. Iwrote to the New York Volkszeitung,a German newspaper, for the addressof a good bee paper, and I receivedyour address. The same day I sent50 cents and received in time theAmerican Bee-Keeper, in which Ifound the address of Mr. Knickerbockerof Pine Plains, N. Y., to whomI wrote for a catalogue and price listfor bees and queens. The price of agood colony of Italians was $8.00,and I sent him $16.00 and got twocolonies of bees about the 20th ofMay, which was after all fruit treeshad blossomed. The bees commencedto work, and the 15th of JulyI took out of each hive the surpluscase of 28 sections well filled withwhite honey. I replaced them withnew surplus cases, and about the 12thof October both the hives were as fullof honey as they could be again. Ileft the hives in this condition forwinter so the bees can consume as41much as they please, and if thereshould be any honey left this springit is just as good for me as if I took itout in the fall. I left them on thesummer stands packed up good andwarm and will leave them alone untilspring. I do not think much of lookinginto the hives every little while.I may be wrong, but I think thiswould make the bees swarm earliernext season.

When the honey season ends, whichwith myself is about the 10th of September,I examine the condition ofevery colony, crowd each colony on toseven frames I intend they shall allbe strong enough to cover fully thatnumber and see that each frame is atleast filled with sealed stores in its upperhalf the whole length. Later onwhen I get ready to back for winter Iextract if necessary from those combsthat are more than two-thirds filledwith stores and combs throughout thebrood chamber are equalized and placedin a position where the colony can attimes get at them if desired. Whenthe temperature falls so low that thecolony begins to cluster closely Iforce the cluster to one side or otherof the brood chamber, which can easilybe done, by moving the frameson which the cluster is formed. Priorto this, however, I have stimulatedthe queen by feeding regularly eachday a small amount of sugar syrup, and thus kept the colony rearingbrood as long as possible. 2ff7e9595c
